Tina,
This is chilling, but I am sure there are more than a few religious bigots
in my country who are equally frightening.

To the point of photographing the poor, the homeless, the slum dweller - I
think that to photograph them without their permission is akin to stripping
whatever little dignity they have from them, because they cant really hit
back at you. I can take a one hour walk in Chennai and photograph enough of
them to fill a book, but I consciously dont do it, preferring to capture
other aspects of my culture. YMMV.
