That has been true for some time - Canon's trials to get a wide angle that
can resolve over a full frame appropriately is one such problem.
We have been getting away with the fact that for DSLRs with smaller sensors,
even consumer lenses are pretty good, as you tend to use the middle of the
image circle, where most lenses perform well. I think this is one of the
reasons why Nikon have stayed away from a full frame sensor to date, though
the rumour on the Nikon lists is that a camera with it it will be released
in the first half of next year.
