Felix,

Since TTL on Digital is very different from on film I would guess it 
will only work in manual mode.  I do not know as I do not have an SF20 
nor an M8.  I am simply talking from knowing how the flash has to work 
on Digital.  With digital the sensor is like a mirror, very reflective.  
Since it is so reflective the flash can not meter the reflected light 
from the film plane and turn off at moment of proper exposure as it did 
in film.  So with digital the flash fires a pre-flash to meter, then 
almost instantly fires the exposing flash.  The need to change this is 
one reason flash photography for digital has taken a while to get to the 
point flash on film was 10 years ago.
