Yea there are plenty of nuts out there in ebay land. There are two things
I look at befor making a serious bid. The first is I read all feedback
carefully from both sides. A lot of reading between the lines can save you
trouble. The second is I look at as many actual items the person has sold
and bought to see if they are on target with the item I want to buy. This
used to be easier but ebay has limited access to this information. One
example is a person selling an expensive lens or camera who has never
executed such a transaction before, yet has hundreds of other transactions
under his belt. To me this is a red flag.
