No, I did end up in Chu Lai and Hue but was just a courier and armorer. 
I felt the same way about weapons that many here on the LUG  feel about 
their Leicas . Didn't really want to use them for what they were 
designed for, simply fondle and say Oohh, ahhh... ;-)
