Ok, there are about 3-4 questions going in this thread.  Let me add my 
opinion to everybody else's.  I do bulk load on occasion.  No scratching 
lately with my Watson loader.  The Lloyd's uses a felt light trap and I 
think debris can get lodged in there.  Only problem I have with the 
Watson is that the frame counter doesn't always engage so I have to 
count turns on the crank.

I've used some Bergger and was not impressed.  Its pretty grainy.  Foma 
400 is a less expensive alternative.  Still grainy but nice if you can 
live with that.

Plain masking tape works for me.  I wrap it around and stick it to both 
sides of the film.  For trimming the ends I just eyeball it with 
scissors.  I made a template from aluminum once but it didn't help much. 
  Just cut from the end towards the cassette.  Easy to make tongues that 
fit an LTM that way.
