Richard,
Many, many years ago, when Kyle still knew what film was, we were all
challanged to come up with one picture a week. I've been doing one for four
or five years now. Knowing that you have to come up with something gets the
creative juices flowing. So, some weeks take a walk in the park, some weeks
set up a formal portrait, some weeks use a 15mm, some weeks try making
something out of dozer tracks in the dirt. Sometimes going to a museum will
get a WOW, look at that which start whole new ideas.

So, the essence, for me, is to just try to live. Talk to strange people, go
to new places, do things that feel a little uncomfortable at first(portraits
with a 15mm). Chat up the spouse and who knows what eye opening thoughts
will be revealed. So, if costuming is a large part of your life, go to a
jazz club with some 1600 speed film. If Formula 1 is your life, stop at a
park and watch the inline skaters and joggers. Don't really like to talk to
strangers: approach random strangers, talk with them and take their
picture.

Sure, some weeks you will still have drivel. But, you will have been place
and done things and created memories that will stay with you.

As that Cassidy fellow once said; "Keep pushing that shutter release, it
will come unstuck."

Peace.
