Subject: [Leica] marmite? an english mistake?

I must have missed that one on the menu. Was this an English pub you tried
these at?
Only bugs I eat are crustaceans like lobster tails without the big claws out
front.

By way of peace offering, I figure that both the Marmite and Vegemite arose
out of considerable brewing industries.

Cheers
Hoppy

Ha! That's rich from someone who considers eating insects to be the ultimate
in haute cuisine! ;)

Nick, considering you drink your beer warm, I'd be considering your opinion
on Vegemite with some reservations.

Cheers

No, Marmite is nothing like the disgusting muck that is Vegemite - although
not everyone loves it. In fact they advertise it by
portraying people who hate it!

Is this like that great Australian practical joke known as Vegemite
that they keep around and eat while strangers come to visit, never
once grimmacing or wretching where one can see them but otherwise keep
locked away on a top shelf somewhere?

Darned Aussies 'll do anything for a laugh.

If it IS like Vegemite then I understand why it would be great for
dieters and soup: YOU WON'T WANT ANY.

Shuddering and regretting even reading this message during lunch break....
