Eric why not just buy a strap with the rubber padded shoulder piece and the 
camera should stay where you put it.

Many of the "fancy shoulder straps" are expensive when the simple strap from 
Leica with the rubber moulded onto the leather or the adjustable rubber 
should work fine.

 I can hang three leica's of various models M & SLR on the left shoulder and 
one on the right they stay where I put them. Before you spring for some over 
priced  fancy dan shoulder strap, look at the simple kind.
