As you just showed, a mid-priced digital camera took a better image than $5000 worth of top gear. Yes, you could have lugged the trusty tripod out and spent a few minutes fiddling and focusing and ended up with a razor sharp image after waiting two weeks for the film to get back. Or, walk outside, turn on the camera, point and shoot with results in seconds. Now you know why film sales are dropping at 20-40% a month. I stubbornly stick with film because so far, for me, the ability to control and image is magic when I get it right with choice of film, exposure, and processing. That and I have so many odd lenses that don't fit on any digital anything.
