It was on a number of film bodies. One of the best things that Canon could do for me is put the EOS3 viewfinder, with the ECF (Eye control focus) on the 5D. The autofocus is generally the same as on the 1 series bodies, plus eye-control. Normally you can set it to 45 focus points, but I had mine set to 11. That way it responded very quickly, and I knew where the focus points were. Autofocus that truly worked! The least useable is the default mode, where the camera decides where to focus. Next best is center point, with recomposing or manual touch up. Best is the ECF configured as above. -- * Henning J.
