And Adobe Bridge can read it. But Photoshop CS2 cannot read it. I was able to preserve the images by opening the NEF files with Nikon Scan and doing a Save As TIFF; Photoshop had no problem reading that. It seems a matter of subtle semantics whether or not that scanner can produce NEF files... > Thanks Brian.
