Hi David,

A bit more than thirty years ago, I acquired .............  
legitimately .......... a 1000 mm Pentax SMC Takumar, 42mm screw  
mount. It was intended for safari work, but, you guessed, it weighed  
a ton ........ and the slightest wind made it almost impossible to  
focus.

However, before the lens hood there's a "pointer" built- 
in ................ and by the focusing knob, there's a v-sighter. It  
works just great .................

Since joining the LUG, I'm now taking fitness classes to build-up  
certain muscles to ensure that it comes back into  
use ...............  I live on the seventh floor of one of several  
apartment buildings, so "keeping-up" with my young  
neighbours ................. birds, of course, is in my thoughts!
