The focus is right on the gull's near eye and there are no distracting elements in the frame. It would have been nice to see some detail in the gull's white breast feathers but that might be an artifact of compression for the web. In the second photo that red spot above the gull is distracting to me and the first is just a very nice picture of a gull in flight. Thanks for showing them.
