Hi Alastair,
I am not sure why the film won't load but it may be worth checking
that the Xpan film transport system will not fog the film anyway. In
common with many of the motorised transport cameras it measures the
film travel using an infra red LED system rather than a sprocket
wheel. I have been warned that this fogs IR film.
Not much of a problem if the film won't load in the auto load
though :-) I certainly don't know why that is but would guess it will
most likely be either stiffness or a less tacky surface than other
films.
cheers
Frank
