Thanks for your information but I'll follow using Leicas in Leica and Canons in Canon, Using film I've found the 21-35 in R8 to be a superior lens that 16-35 in EOS 1v but slower and with more limited range.It's the lens is always in my Leica R. The full format sensor needs teleccentric lenses-whatever this could be- so the light hit the sensor in a perpendicular way so I hope then in a next future Canon will launch new extreme wide lenses. My 14mm Canon prime has a better behavior and the 1Ds MkII having bigger micro lenses has less softness and chromatic aberration than 1D MkI and I hope than EOS 5D will have even less. When mine arrive next month I'll tell you... Felix
