Regarding cars, I am with Didier all the way. I do not anticipate ever 
buying a new car again.

With photo gear, I do remember the thread about Asians having a cultural 
bias against second-hand. All I can say is that when I sold off much of 
my Leica equipment last year, several (expensive) pieces went to buyers 
in Asia, including Philippines, Hong Kong and Indonesia.
