AFAIK, Leica has cancelled the collaboration with Panasonic recently, which
has muted the rumours about Leica might join the 4/3 standard.

Leica had certainly made (some) money with it's name on Panasonic lenses,
but the main reason must have been a strategic one - to keep a foot in the
digital future's door. But I haven't heard anything if they will
collaborate with another company. To be honest, I haven't heard anything at
all from Leica since their ad-hoc annouincement in early july.
