But not doing as well with Tri-X??? Tri-X (or Neopan 400) would have had much smoother tones all across the gray scale, and a 50 Summicron, or a 75 Summicron, at f2.8 and 1/100, the equivalent exposure to what you used, would have produced beautifully crisp eyes and glasses, and a luscious out of focus background. And that annoying pattern of dark and light spots that seems to be superimposed over the out of focus areas (is that noise?) wouldn't be there. > <http://www.adambridge.com/Photos/2005/08/23/_L3U5268-bw.jpg> > > This is at 1600 with the 1Ds Mk II and the 24-70 f2.8L zoom, shot wide > open at 70mm, 1/400th of a second. > > I never was able to get neopan or TriX to do as well. > > This IS a cropped image, I didn't care for the flat panel TV and it > just needed to have some odds and ends removed. > > Comments and criticism are most welcome. > > Adam > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information >
