Feli,
This is about average for a midrange SLR. The pro cameras are under
50ms and the truly amatuer cameras are in the 125ms range.

So, what Canon is giving us is a cheap loss leader in the original
dRebel, a very good amatuer camera in the XT, backup body or starter
pro camera in the 20D, a fine art, studio, portrait or wedding body in
the 5D, a sports or journalist camera in the 1D MkIIN, and a rival to
medium format in the 1DsMkII. What a fine example of brand extension
to not miss anyone.
