And I too would love to use my M42 lenses on a good digital camera (especially that luscious 20mm f2.8 East German Flektogon). Bob In a message dated 8/11/2005 9:32:08 A.M. In their comparison with the Canon they say: "The biggest difference is in sharpness and detail, the EOS 300D image appears much sharper and with better fine detail, we can clearly see elements which are difficult to make out in the *ist DS image." Well, you know, when the clothes are all washed, Dpreview is just a guy with an opinion, and access to all the cameras in the world. I found the size and shape and handling of the Pentax feels lots better, and I can use my quirky m42 glass with it. But then, I'm just a guy with an opinion too. Everyone, (including me) that I know who has this cool little camera loves it. With a 28 prime on it, set to Aperture Preferred, my shooting style is very much like with my M6 and a 35mm. The cameras have similar size and weig ht, and a BRIGHT finder.
