Subject: [Leica] Vaseline & Leica, a good combination? (Elmar-M 2.8 50)

Leica recommend lubricating the bayonet with vaseline,
and wiping it off as much as possible. A thin film
remains on the surface and it works very well. I use
it on every lens mount which has obvious dry friction
and bayonet lenshoods too.
