Just rub the side of your nose with your index finger, then rub the same
finger around the lens mount flange.

Leica recommend lubricating the bayonet with vaseline,
and wiping it off as much as possible. A thin film
remains on the surface and it works very well. I use
it on every lens mount which has obvious dry friction
and bayonet lenshoods too.
