This is not too tedious as you can do it in batches of the same subject, country etc. Once done it is done for ever and you can then find 'Shops in Timbuktu' without too much hard work. For backup I copy all my slide/digital library on to an external hard drive so that I have at least two copies of everything. I guess this is the price you pay for the 'ease' of digital - at least we never have anything scratched in processing or go missing whilst with a client now!
