The Fuji machines are very good about being able to "cover" scratches, dirt, and general abuse of the negatives. As a result, the technicians are getting sloppier and more incompetent in handling the negatives. The last few rolls I have taken to Sam's Club were so badly damaged, I had to discard them. I'm taking everything to a color lab now and just getting the negatives developed. I want a local lab to process and print C-41. I will archive the negs for later use so I want good chemistry. Any input which "dime store" labs are doing the best all around working the US?. I have been trolling the archives of various sites and Walgreens seems to be a favorite but I would like to hear what the current views are.
