Marvin is too small, the Heart of Gold is supposed to have been shaped like a running shoe, even the Vogons look mildly pleasant.. It's a wonder they didn't try to slip Dirk Gently (Vlad)and some Norse Gods in there too. A total mess. The worst mis-filming of a book since "War of the Worlds" was moved into the atomic age - which took out 100% of what H.G. Wells was trying to put across about the hubris of man in the industrial age. Douglas BTW the tv-series (BBC) was actually quite good, well I thought so. Ford Prefect, Zaphod, Marvin and Arthur were , IMO, perfectly cast. Mark Langer wrote: > I saw the film yesterday.
