Correct.. same glass.  Slightly different mechanics, and the filter goes
from E55 to ( I think) E49.  Also the new version has the focus tab.

The older goes abut $1000, the newer starts at $1300.  All are used prices.

Is the new version any better than the original first version?  My
understanding is both are the same in optics with the second version
mechanically better designed.
