I have an 8 mgp P&S with a typically-tiny sensor, and an E-1 with a 5mpg 4/3 sensor - the 8mpg gets noisy by 400 iso and is a joke at 800. The E-1 is fine at 400 and useable up to 1600, or in desperation, 3200. More over, I can blow the E-1 images way up, and can't go as far with the 8 mgp camera. Taking the LC1 or similar camera up to 8-10 mgp wouldn't improve things - it would probably make them worse. -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Simon Ogilvie Sent: Friday, April 08, 2005 10:44 AM To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] LC1 vs 20D comparison Hi Will, I agree - I really liked the LC1, but the form factor means it would be competing with my 20D for usage and would lose out every time. If I wanted/needed to take something small and light, then the LC1 wouldn't suit either. For that, at the moment I'm using a Fuji F810, but I'm not entirely happy with it. Would you be able to post a full-size image from your Sony for me to look at? I've tried a Samsung camera with a Zeiss lens, but the image quality wasn't good enough (for me at least). Thanks, Simon.
