I don't really understand the higher prices, particularly for an
85mm lens. Wages in Japan are comparable to wages in Germany,
and an 85mm lens isn't a niche item or all that exotic. What
gives?  Just jacking up prices for the "Made in Germany"
mystique?   If so, I find that distasteful.
