there's an article on the future of film in the latest Leica 
Fotographie, to which you are subscribed of course, no?  :-)

Anyway, it goes into the AGFA situation in some detail.  They're still 
going to produce for as long as there is demand.  The article talks 
about other manufacturers and their plans and postulates on the revival 
of 'analogue' photography, citing examples of photographers who started 
with digital discovering the joys of film and darkrooms through to the 
revival of vinyl records and the encouraging sales of turntables as 
indicators that film is a long long way from disappearing.
