They're all just tools and yet we see time after time the extolling of some lens or another and the next thing you know the lens becomes the hot tamale to own and use because ..... "joe whathisface made great Leica images." Bull s....! And unless the handling made a difference due to the photographer's imagination, owning the lens and not knowing what's a good subject or potential for a good photograph first, that piece of metal, glass and film or digi thingy isn't going to capture great photographs for you like whatshisface without knowing what the hell you're doing in the first place! >> depending upon their personal tastes and the type of work they do, so different > photographers prefer and or need different cameras. Period.<< Of course! Hell I can't imagine whacking a way with a Hasselblad or bigger camera when I'm doing everything possible to be quiet and unobtrusive as I can be with a couple of M7's or whatever M. It's the work one is doing that calls for the tools used and if an auto super fast focusing camera is the best tool for the photographers likes and doing the job correctly that's all that matters. It's just like my son Scott shooting sports... he uses an old manual Canon 400mm 2.8 on his hottest whiz bang Canon digital cameras and it never ceases to amaze me what he captures with manual focus gear. If in doubt have a look at his website for his company. http://www.sixsixsix.ca/ But it's just tools in the hands of the photographer and not some mystic thing about "use this lens and WOW you too can take great pictures!" Bull S... ! The lens only allows you to take.... different looking pictures while using your own ability to see and handle it. But.............. If you don't see it first, even the Great Spirit in the sky ain't going to make you any better! ted
