Hello Juan,

I like the first 2 photos very much both visually and emotionally.
And while perhaps increasing the contrast would work better
in http://gallery.leica-users.org/JGB-Leica-PAW-Project/PAW_20040815a
I think merely decreasing the contrast on the bottom of the photo
(the grey/white brick parapet ?), probably would also work.

http://gallery.leica-users.org/JGB-Leica-PAW-Project/PAW_20040815b
just makes my heart ache and me homesick. The memories of the
of my childhood is full with the sight, sound and smell of rain, and this
photo
bring back many of those memories. The rain veil gives the photo
an air of mystery, the leaves provide a certain sense of shelter from
the storm, and the bit of highlight on the leaves add contrast and
visual interest. It is a very poetic invocation to me.

Juan, thank you very much for posting these photos.

- Phong
If I ever have a photographic portfolio on my childhood memories,
I will call it "Of Rice and Rain" :-)
