I understand that the sensor in both the R-Module and the M-Digital camera
is designed to be modular; that is, replaceable by qualified technicians.
This may mean that when a proper full-frame sensor is available, we will be
able to have it retrofitted to the back/body, giving us interchangeability
not only of lenses.

That will be a wrong move for Leica publishing the small sensor in
2006.  By that time I think most sensor will be 1:1 like in EOS 1Ds
