Subject: [Leica] ok - so why is no one buying the sigma digital cam?

Several things abut the Sigma keep it from being widely used.

You have to use Sigma lenses, no other lenses are available.

You have to use the Sigma RAW converter, not JPEG's so speed of file
transmission is compromised.

Relatively slow motor drive, 1.9 frames per second for 6 frames in high
quality mode.

Even though the Sigma is sorta cheap, the digital offerings from Nikon,
Canon, and Pentax make more sense for more people in terms of
price/performance.

I keep looking at image samples from the sigma sd-9 and sd-10.

Someone remind why no one is buying the camera.
Price seems great for the image quality.
I assume you can strap R lens to this thing?

Eric
