Subject: [Leica] ok - so why is no one buying the sigma digital cam?

John Bean has strapped some East German Zeiss screw mount (42) lenses to
his and gotten great results. It takes really excellent pictures. The
raps against it have been:

Large size and plastic covering
RAW mode only, so writing to disk is slow.
Pretty much stuck with Sigma lenses. They can be good optically, but the
build quality is not consistent.

I keep looking at image samples from the sigma sd-9 and sd-10.

Someone remind why no one is buying the camera.
Price seems great for the image quality.
I assume you can strap R lens to this thing?

Eric
