Nikon does everything I want it to. Silverfast is grossly overpriced for what it does. Vuescan is not intuitive at all and comes with no hints on how to make it work. I'll be scanning B&W only, and only for web use. I've just tried a test scan (why is it every time I type "scan" it comes out "scam"?!) with the supplied software, which seems to be easy enough to use. But, since I'm new to this, does anyone have a better suggestion for software for this scanner? Vuescan? P.
