And while I'm sure that my responding to Sam in this manner will anger some gentle Luggers, I have no intention of having my statements, and my previous behavior in this matter, so grossly misrepresented. If Brian decides to exile me for this, so be it. That said: Sam, if you and anyone else cares to re-read my posts on the subject, you will see that I did not call you a 'mother trucker,' or 'mother fucker,' or anything of the sort. What I did was attack your positions, and their apparent inconsistencies. Now, however, as you can see from the subject line, I am calling you, on this list, rather than in private as you prefer, a disingenuous asshole. I in turn was publicly called a cretin, troll, and whatever it was that B.D. murmured under his breath (Something about my being a mother's trucker, I believe). I may be naive, but I do not expect to be attacked publicly about my person. My ideas are fair game. A private email is another matter, and feel free to send over your shots privately. I admit that in a personal email to a list member I myself made mention of his underdeveloped private parts. Now, if I start a thread and see it going badly, I'll attempt to end it. At this point, in the world of non-fiction, there is no need for comments, unless the comment maker is not being quite true in stating that the thread should not continue. What he really means is that he wants to continue the thread a moment longer to show his disdain but he does not want me to reply. Well then, say that and I won't reply.
