Subject: [Leica] OT - internet ordering

I just wanted to share a recent experience trying to order a product over the internet.
I decided to purchase a Nikon Super Coolscan 9000. Did a price check and Etronics.com
had the best price with shipping. I placed the order on a Friday. The following Mon. I get
an email wanting me to call my bank to release funds for the purchase. The next day I get another
email wanting me to call the bank again to verify the release of the funds. We are now up
to Wednesday. I do a status check on my order and it is in the processing stage. Well it stays
in the processing stage for 3 days. Finally I email them and ask what is the problem. They
reply that they are out of stock. Note: the item was in stock when I ordered it but since it
takes them 7 days to process an order, they ran out of stock. I have never heard of a business
taking that long to process and ship an order. I cancelled the order today and will probably
never do business with them again.
For what it's worth
