Try scanning your silver B&W negs as 'Color Negative'. You can still save them as greyscale. I have found this helps to dig some highlight detail out of dense negs. Also, try adjusting the gain with your Nikonscan software. - -Bruce > From: howard cummer <cummer@netvigator.com> > Reply-To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > Date: Mon, 23 Feb 2004 09:09:26 +0800 > To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > Subject: [Leica] Re:Scanning Tri X on a Nikon 4000 > > >> Date: Sun, 22 Feb 2004 16:49:48 -0800 >> From: Adam Bridge <abridge@mac.com> >> Subject: Re: [Leica] Scanning B&W with Nikon Coolscan 4000 >> Message-ID: <r02010100-1032-2F20DFA6659A11D8A50F000393D465D8@[10.0.1.8]> >> it would be helpful to know what is making your scans unprintable.
