A Maserati with a Hyundai engine? With Leica Glass but not quite a full peak into the upcoming Digilux II as the software is the half of the issue. In the case of the Digilux I (as if it has that much to do with the Digilux II) the software in the Panasonic did not cut the mustard. There lies the rub. A mustard rub. Which could go either way. The Leica was Liked. The Panasonic was panned. And might have strangely cost more money than the Leica. In this new camera which as we know will not be the point and shoot which the Digilux 1 was but something resembling a real camera but with a CCD where the pressure plate would be- what Leicas version is of the software which they put into this camera will be as much an issue as is taking this Panasonic for a walk around the block.
