Hmmm...this seems so absolute. If you mean in the photojournalistic markets then
you're absolutely correct. It's digital world now and anything that shoots film
just isn't in the ballgame any more. I think it won't be long before we see
little "satellite dish" hats for photojournalists in the field so they can
upload their images. (an image for humor only - we all know that dishes are
passe).

But there are certainly professionals who use Leica 35's for environmental
portraiture and even for landscape photography where the choice of film and lens
can be adapted to the desired look of the final work.

In these situations it's not irrelevant at all.

At least that's my thought.
