Something in between. > Any thoughts on a place to stay and things to see?<<<<< Hi Peter, I haven't been to Tofino in a couple of years but given Best Western Hotels record as a good hotel chain look here: http://www.tinwis.com and see if it fits your pocket book. However like most tourist locations this time of year it will be higher than the fall. Here's a web page for the area... or type in " Tofino bc Canada " on google search. http://find.searchfact.net/apps/eps/results.cgi?dp_rp=6&ta=s&tp=rs&Keywords= tofino+bc+canada&Partner=oingo_inclusion_xml_19&ac=s Make sure you have a locked down reservation before getting there as it's a great place to be in the summer and accommodation can be short. To see there? Well it's "Long Beach" and it's just what the name implies, a long beach of incredible views and walking it for what seems miles of sandy beach and scenics. Be sure to look for sunsets!! Amazing some evenings as you look all the way to Japan and across the Pacific with the sun between you and Japan. ;-). Or the opposite, extremely beautiful "fog banks" roll in and make for those wonderful soft colours. When you've worked the Tofino area and Pacific Rim National Park drive south... short distance, a few miles to Uclulet another interesting village . ted - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
