Many people unconsciously sway just a little as they take pictures. With the 75 even a few millimeters can make a difference. Another common problem is a slight twist of the camera itself just before pushing the shutter release. Ted talked about this several years ago when someone had problems with converging lines. Last, set up a ruler at about a 45 degree angle and focus in the middle. Use a tripod so the focus stays where you focus. Shoot a few frames and see if the lens cam is matched to your camera. It is of course possible that the lens is not dead on. The subject was my 6 week old baby. Distance is around .8 meters, aperture at wide open and focused on the nearest eye. sometimes the eye is out of focus but the chin is right on. I don't know. I might have made a mistake buying this lens. Is it me or the lens?
