As someone who just dumped my S2 I would be curious as to what about the camera appeals to you over the various M's. Why did I get rid of my S2? I purchased it originally to see how I liked the Nikon 50mm F1.4. I kept it for about three years but never used it much. I have an M3 that I like a lot better than the Nikon. Also, I later acquired a Contax with the Zeiss Sonnar F1.5. For quite inexplicable reasons I much prefer the Contax to the Nikon. As to the Nikkor lens, it is a fine performer but I much prefer my 75 Lux and 35 Summicron in low light. If people were actually using it, fine. But 99% of the buyers of the S3-2000 are collectors, and to me a camera that will never be used is silly. I love people who have Nikon SPs and use them regularly, not caring that every ding they put into it reduces its value $100. Cameras are to be used. Which is why I like this group, since we actually all use our Leicas...... right?
