And, based on your name, I'm going to guess you're Vietnamese and your family was on the losing end of that ugly conflict, so your reaction is understandable. I don't want you to think for a minute that I am sympathetic toward Communist governments or Communism. But I do believe that what is seen in those photos is, as I said, seen throughout Asia. Indeed, it is seen throughout the world - there are folks who sleep in alleys in the U.S., and people who sell goods from baskets here. The sad reality is that, in most cases, the suffering of people on the bottom of any heap has to do more with the failures of Capitalism - a system which has certainly improved the lives of countless 10s of millions of people - than it does the evils of Communism, an utterly failed and discredited experiment. Hi B.D, B.D, I don't know how to say this but that is how i feel about those pictures. a communist leader who make the country weaker and screwup entire country. a couple sleep in pavement, a woman sell good with her basket. it give me an impression of poverty, politic and bad leadership that lead the country to poverty end. I am sorry to Clif if my previous post was directly against you. I did not mean it at all. Olivier Nguyen >From: "B. D.
