I concentrate on what's going in the center of the photo and try not to have anything distracting in the frame. Other than that, the frame kind of falls where it falls. I'll set up something tomorrow and see how accurate the framing is with the Panasonic. I haven't tried manual focusing with the Panasonic. The automatic focus allows you to spot focus and bracket focus. I haven't needed the bracket focus but I have used the spot focus and it is quick, silent, and accurate. I would not even attempt to use manual focus with the digital camera. The LCD screen is much larger than most and it is very handy for seeing what you will get, but my eyes are not up to focusing accurately using the screen. The viewfinder is much smaller than the M6 or 7 and I don't like to use it - but that's true of all rangefinders except the Leica's. With the Panasonic, I'm using the LCD screen to compose and using automatic and spot focusing. To me, these are part of the advantages to using digital and I never considered doing otherwise. I'll let you know how accurate the framing is tomorrow.
