It's no bother. I was curious myself.  I carefully framed a bookcase so 
that it exactly filled the frame when looking at the LCD on the back of the 
camera (the largest LCD on any digital camera, by the way), took the photo 
and downloaded it into the computer.  When the file came up it was framed 
exactly as on the LCD.  When looking through the viewfinder, which I almost 
never do, it does seem that the edges of the frame are cut off very 
slightly.  I have a hard time seeing through the viewfinder with my glasses 
on so that may not be accurate.  It is advertised as a "real image 
viewfinder" but I don't know why you would ever need to use it.
