I had problems with my first Epson 2000P as well. The printer I ordered from Adorama was DOA. I called Epson, and they told me that I was probably doing something wrong. They gave me a list of insultingly moronic suggestions (is it plugged in? did you install the ink cartridges?). I went back and forth with them for over a week when they told me that they would swap it out for a faculty refurbished printer. If I wanted a new one to replace my new one, I would have to get it from Adorama. I called Adorama, who told me that I passed the brief return period (they start counting days from the day you order it, not the day you get it. It took over a week to deliver the printer to me, Epson futzed with me for a week, so my return period was over. I finally took it to a local electronics servicing firm doing Epson work, they sent it back to Epson, and Epson sent me a factory refurbished printer. Neat, huh?

I like the Epson 2000P, but will probably never buy another Epson product as long as I live. The competition is just too keen to justify buying something from a company with such poor standards.
