One day, on the way back to the house I decided to drop in, mid afternoon, to see their product samples and talk to a product person. I was essentially told to take a walk. No showroom, no one is ever available for a drop-in, and no literature. I was told to see a distributor for a demonstration. That's easier said and done in Southern California where the sales staffs known little to next to nothing, other than pressing the button on the Epson for a "demo." After that misstep, I'm hesitating about getting an Epson. The comments on the LUG are not making the decision any easier. I called Epson, and they told me that I was probably doing something wrong. They gave me a list of insultingly moronic suggestions (is it plugged in? did you install the ink cartridges?). I went back and forth with them for over a week when they told me that they would swap it out for a faculty refurbished printer. If I wanted a new one to replace my new one, I would have to get it from Adorama. I called Adorama, who told me that I passed the brief return period (they start counting days from the day you order it, not the day you get it. It took over a week to deliver the printer to me, Epson futzed with me for a week, so my return period was over. I finally took it to a local electronics servicing firm doing Epson work, they sent it back to Epson, and Epson sent me a factory refurbished printer. Neat, huh? > > I like the Epson 2000P, but will probably never buy another Epson product as long as I live.
