__LEICA DIGILUX 1 wins the DIMA Award 2002

The LEICA DIGILUX 1 has won the DIMA INNOVATIVE
DIGITAL PRODUCT AWARD 2002 for its innovative
technology, application and design. The American Digital
Imaging Association conferred the awards to new products
that stood out for their high quality and avant-garde
performance. The winning products were chosen from
many hundreds exhibited at the American PMA trade show
in Orlando.

__New issue of the Leica World now available

The new Leica World will be on sale from May 6, 2002
onwards at well stocked newsagents and specialist
bookshops. The current issue includes portfolios of F.C.
Gundlach, Gaël Turine, Lois Hechenblaikner and Ralph
Gibson and an exclusive interview with William Eggleston.
A detailed report covers the first festival of photography in
the Chinese city of Pingyao. Two portfolios with the work of
Leica photographers Li Nan and Yang Yankang complete
this report. The technical news in the issue 1/2002 inform
about LEICA M7, LEICA DIGILUX 1 and LEICA DUOVID
8+12x42.
